Woodside, a small town feeling type of community in a big city!

I love it when many people assume that NYC doesn't have a small community feeling. As a fellow Leo, I love being right and Woodside, my neighborhood, becomes my living proof that I'm once again, right.

The Irish pubs, the friendly post office, the Stop Inn Diner, Mango's, San Sebastian's Catholic Church & School, Doughboy Park and the ability to build a close-knit relationships with all the shops, banks and community centers makes Woodside a little town in this huge city.

Woodside to me is the perfect balance between city life and that precious quiet I strive for in my life. I will always try to reconcile my love for rural areas and the crazy, awesome energy cities bring to my life. Here, luckily I have both!

To top it all, we have access to "The City" via the infamous 7 train in about 15-20 minutes. Yet, I don't have to jeopardize my quiet reading time under a tree on a hot summer afternoon at the quaint park next door.

All in all, I love it here and will continue to write about my neighborhood and the amazing diversity of EVERYTHING it has got to offer within a short walk to everything!

From a fellow Leo gal,

Mrs. D.
